Keep River
Keep River National Park is located 51 kilometres east of Kununurra just inside the Northern Territory. The most comfortable time to visit the park is from May to August or in the dry season as it is known locally. There are a variety of things to see and do in the Keep River National Park from aboriginal rock art sites, to spectacular geological formations, numerous bushwalks of varying distance all within a diverse array of habitats and all relatively close together. The geological formations are primarily sandstone very similar in structure as both Purnululu and Mirima National Parks.
Keep River National Park has two camping areas (camping fees apply) and facilities include tables, BBQ's and pit toilets. Water is available at Jarnem and along the road just past the Ranger's Station turnoff.

Mirima
Mirima is a small National Park with sandstone ranges, cliffs and valleys similar in appearance to the Bungle Bungle ranges in Purnululu National Park. Mirima is the name given to the area by the Miriwoong people. The Park features three short walks: one follows the base of the range, one into the valley and cliff walls, and the third is an elevated walk up on to the top of the range. Located very close to Kununurra, the Mirima National Park offers limited facilities, has no access to water and does not allow for camping. A fee applies prior to entry.

Purnululu
The Bungle Bungle Range that make up Purnululu National Park are renowned for the striking sandstone domes, striped with orange and grey bands. Purnululu is the name given to the area by the local Kija people. The area covers nearly 240,000 hectares. The unusual sandstone and conglomerate rock structures are estimated to be 350 million years old. The Bungle Bungle Ranges were world heritage listed in 2003 and has established itself as an iconic Western Australia 'must see'.
The Park has numerous walks and places of interest, with two camping grounds for those wishing to extend their stay and take the time to experience all that this unique part of the world has to offer. Numerous tours and accommodation options are available from within the Park and can be arranged at the Kununurra Visitor Centre. All visitors are required to purchase a Park Entry permit from either the Kununurra Visitor Centre or the CALM Ranger station located within the Park. An entry fee and camping fee apply.
